Appearance: Schistose, hard and brittle, silver-gray or light brown metallic luster on the surface of manganese metal.

Properties: Melting point: 1, 245 , boiling point: 1, 962 , and specific gravity: 7.2g/ cm3. It is easy for oxidization in the air and has a strong reduction.

Applications: Mainly used in steel making, smelting special steel, non-ferrous alloys ( aluminum-manganese, titanium-manganese, and magnesium-manganese alloys) , as well as chemical, electronic, aerospace, medical, analytical, research and so on.
